Synopsis: John McClane travels to Russia of all places to do what he can as a father to help his son, who seems to be on hard times. This should be a normal, ordinary trip. But nothing is normal, or ordinary for that matter, with John McClane. The father and son find themselves up against an underworld syndicate that has a plan to steal nuclear arms. Typical day in the life of a Die Hard Family
I'm not going to talk too much about this movie, I'll just say if you are a fan of action movies, you will not miss this movie. In this movie you see the action, explosions, collisions are doubled from the previous films. Directed by John Moore, he displays powerful scenes in the film.
And yes, one of the highlights of the series this time is John McClane is not in America but in Russia. As the plot in the previous series which features John McClane always in the wrong time and place. But this time we will see the father and son work together from the beginning to the end of the movie.
Although Bruce Willis is getting old, his performance is still very good. The actor who played the son of John McClane is Jai Courtney. And Jai Courtney is quite good in playing the character of John McClane's son. So do not miss out!
Overall, A Good Day To Die Hard isn't a bad film, but it suffers in many areas, and it feels more like an average action movie than an sequel to an Die Hard movie. The actors and actresses does well on their roles, but a few lines sound cheesy and stupid. Die Hard 5 has an okay-ish climax and an very predictable ending, which is hinted at in the trailers. The movie has PG-13 violence, and only the language makes this an R rated film.
Would I recommend people to see it? Sure, as long as you don't take films like this seriously you will enjoy it, but for the hard-core fans, I'll let them judge.
Overall Rating: 7/10
